Edward Boardman takes his family out in "Bobs" (named after Lord Roberts). Stuart is on the main sheet.
July 26th 1908.
They are sailing on the River Ant and How Hill House can be seen in the background. Notice how few trees there are.
This area is a now a mature wood.


That view
This view  from How Hill is one of the most photographed in The Broads and has changed surprisingly little.
