These pictures are from Stuart Boardman's Album. Stuart Boardman was the twin brother of Humphrey and grew up at How Hill House. The album we have begins with Stuart's Marriage to Monica Wells in 1930 and ends in the summer of 1939 after which Stuart joined the army and went off to the Second World War. He was killed at Singapore on 24th January 1942 and is buried in Kranji War Cemetery in Singapore. In the 1930s, Stuart was the manager of How Hill Farm and the album contains lots of farming pictures. The farm was a fruit farm at that time. We also see Stuart's children Peter and Cecilia growing up on the farm. There are also lots of other pictures in and around the How Hill area showing life with the extended Boardman family. We have chosen a selection of pictures with Ludham connections. We hope you find them of interest.
