Ludham Pubs
|
There was a time when Ludham
had seven pubs, but over the years, these gradually faded away and now
there are just two left. Some became private homes, one was demolished
to allow the road to be widened and one even became, in a bizarre
twist, a temperance hotel.
Now just The Kings Arms and The Dog remain. The former can be found
right in the middle of the village opposite the church, while The Dog
is in the hamlet of Johnson Street, not far from Ludham Bridge and its
boat moorings. Both pubs serve food and are well worth a visit.
