|
Welcome
to the Martin Walton slide show of Ludham Bridge and
the River Ant. We don't have a recording of Martin
giving this presentation, but we have added our own
notes to the slides.
Old Ludham Bridge
The Old Bridge was very tight for boats and was known
as "The Bung Hole".
Mrs Lombards old cottage south of the bridge.
The cottage once operated as a shop.

The Old Bridge was damaged in the 1912 floods and was
replaced by this one.

There were two mills downstream of the Bridge. The
large one is Beaumont's Mill on the Ludham Bank, and
the skeleton mill was on the Horning Bank.
