Martin Walton Slides The 1993 Floods at Ludham Bridge

Welcome to the Martin Walton slide show of the 1993 Floods. We don't have a recording of Martin giving this presentation, but we have added our own notes to the slides.

The 1993 flood was quite a bad one although not the worst we have seen.

Looking South from Ludham Bridge. A pump at the boatyard is pouring water back into the river, but this is, in turn just running over the banks and back onto the marshes. A lot of work has been done to the banks since that time to try to prevent this type of flooding although the success has been limited.
